If travelling by train to Villars, there is a rail service direct from Geneva
Airport to Aigle (a 20 minute journey by car/taxi to the Chalet) or to the next stop, Bex, from where you can change and take the mountain train direct to Villars.

In winter, Villars’ 75 ski lifts connect 220km of slopes and a chairlift connection to the neighbouring resort of ‘Les Diablerets’ enables year-round skiing on the glacier at 3,000m.

Sledging, ice-skating, Nordic skiing and snowshoe walking provide skiers and non-skiers with endless possibilities. Two respected ski schools provide expert tuition and children under 9 benefit from free ski passes. For those who like to ski in a different resort everyday, Verbier is 40 mins away, Chamonix 1hr 15mins, Les Portes du Soleil (Champery, Avoriaz & Morzine) 40 mins and Gstaad 1hr. Crans Montana, Saas Fee and Zermatt are further afield but all skiable on a days excursion.


In summer, Villars’ 300km of pedestrian paths are an invitation to go for a walk or a hike through the pine woods and wild flower meadows to lakes and small alpine villages.
