Pizzo is a seaport in Calabria, Italy (Pizzo means mountain in this respect) situated on a steep cliff overlooking the Gulf of Santa Eufemia.

It is one of the most renowned towns in the Vibo Valentia province on the western coast of Calabria. The town is a well-known and popular seaside resort as well as a thriving fishing center.

Pizzo and the province to which it belongs to, Vibo Valentia, is famous for its scenic rugged coast, long sandy beaches, pleasant climate and the best ice cream in the world. The region is steeped in history, with its roots dating back to 7th century BC when it originally became inhabited as the Greek colony of Hipponion.

The Histrocial town centre of Pizzo has many authentic narrow lanes and street with interconnecting stairways, squares with decorative fountains and other quaint Architectural and cultural attractions.
