Water sports

Cape Verde offers excellent water sports activities. Tides and currents can often be strong so be sure to check with local professionals to ensure the water is safe. There is very good sailing, surfing and windsurfing to be enjoyed. However surfing in Cape Verde is generally not suitable for beginners. The coastal winds make Sal a hotspot for surfing and windsurfing for the experts!

Diving

Diving is gradually becoming more popular in Cape Verde. There are several places you can enjoy deep sea diving in Sal and Boa Vista. You’ll be accompanied by experienced and qualified personnel using excellent equipment. There are some excellent wreck sites that you are able to discover as well when you go diving. In Cape Verde the water temperatures are idyllic year round though at times the water can be rough.

Fishing

Fishing lovers will enjoy their time in Cape Verde. The waters can be rough at times, however when the waters are calm there are boats available for hire with all the equipment for you to enjoy a days fishing.
