Brazil has a wealth of different restaurants serving excellent food from around the globe. There are many traditional restaurants serving excellent local cuisine.

Churrascarias

Brazil has a unique restaurant called Churrascarias (meat barbeque restaurants) which offer a particular dining for a fixed price. You are served with skewers of succulent meat that keeps your mouth watering for days to come. The best part about these restaurants if they keep bringing this decadent meat to your table until you can eat no more!

Açaí

Açaí is another extremely popular food and drink in Brazil. Açaí is an Amazonian fruit with a berrylike taste and unusual deep purple colour. Açaí can be a drink, (and renowned for being excellent for your skin) or it can also be eaten as a food, most commonly with muesli and fruit. This is an absolute delight that must be tried.

Drinks

The famous Brazilian drink is the Caipirinha, a delightful Brazilian cocktail. It’s impossible to go to any bar in any region and not find a Caipirinha on the menu.

Caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail made with Cachaça, sugar and lime. Cachaça is Brazil's most common distilled alcoholic beverage. Like rum, it is made from sugarcane, however, cachaça is made from sugarcane juice whereas rum is made from molasses, a by product of the sugar refining process. The beverage is enjoyed in restaurants, bars, and many households throughout Brazil.

Nightlife

The nightlife in Brazil is active year round where you find nightclubs and bars full of people with a bustling atmosphere until the early hours of the morning. Music is an integral part of Brazilian cultures so no matter where you go in Brazil, you’ll find dancing, signing and live music of some kind. Samba is the traditional dance of Brazil and you’ll no doubt find plenty of samba dancing when visiting this amazing country.

Bossa Nova

One of Brazil’s famous heroines, Bossa Nova, arose in the late 1950’s and she grabbed the world’s attention in the remarkable, The girl from Ipanema. This song is played in restaurants, shops, bars and clubs throughout Brazil and never fails to charm listeners.

Rock

Brazilian rock is highly popular, and when you go into the Brazil you will also find regional music styles that are extremely impressive.
